Job Role Overview
This role is part of the AWS Infrastructure Services team responsible for designing, planning, delivering and operating all global infrastructure. The Regional Manager will lead a team that provides full life-cycle support to existing Data Centers for retrofits and upgrades.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hire, coach and develop employees who embody Amazon Leadership Principles.
- Manage team performance, including promotions, and drive efficiencies in repeatable work.
- Create and improve metrics, applying high judgment to make trade-offs on competing business needs.
- Establish strategic direction for the EMEA team, influencing roadmaps of technical or business partner teams.
- Identify resource requirements and gaps, establishing a regional roadmap to success.
- Collaborate with partner teams to implement new processes and procedures within their region and propagate globally where necessary.
- Drive strategic communication and provide a technical strategy within their assigned Region.
- Lead managers and team members with varying technical experience.
- Identify risks and complexity to unblock engineers and partner teams.
- Ensure team timeliness, quality, operational stability and success meeting customer requirements/business objectives.
- Optimize processes and reduce overhead.
- Develop and share best practices with peers.
- Build trust and relationships with stakeholders (e.g., Operations, Commissioning, Construction and Design).
