Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design and delivery of advanced automation and packaging machinery. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving innovation, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Job Summary:

The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will lead mechanical design projects from concept to completion, creating and reviewing CAD models, BOMs, and design documentation using SolidWorks/PDM. They will also ensure compliance with GMP, CE, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead mechanical design projects from concept to completion
  • Create and review CAD models, BOMs, and design documentation (SolidWorks/PDM)
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, CE, and safety standards
  • Mentor junior engineers and drive design improvements

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 8+ years' mechanical design experience (5+ in automation/machinery)
  • Expertise in high-speed mechanisms, pneumatics, servo systems, cams, drives
  • Strong CAD skills (SolidWorks/PDM)
  • Experience in pharma/medical automation, robotics, and vision/serialization systems
  • Knowledge of GMP, CE marking, ISO safety standards
  • Willingness to travel (~10%)
