Job Description:

  • This role involves supporting the finance operations by managing accounts payable, month-end and year-end processes.
  • You will be responsible for processing supplier invoices, reconciling supplier statements, preparing payment runs, and monitoring aged payables.
  • Your duties will also include maintaining accurate AP documentation, posting journals and accruals, and supporting bank reconciliations, payroll reports, and VAT returns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process supplier invoices in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Perform supplier statement reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare and process payment runs (electronic and manual).
  • Monitor and manage aged payables, following up on overdue items.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date AP documentation.
  • Post journals, accruals, and prepayments as directed by the Financial Controller.
  • Maintain the Fixed Asset Register, ensuring timely updates for additions/disposals and correct depreciation.
  • Support bank reconciliations, payroll reports, VAT returns, and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Assist with reviewing and reconciling key balance sheet accounts.
  • Prepare audit schedules and support the year-end close process.
  • Liaise with external auditors and help resolve audit queries.
  • Assist in compiling data for the preparation of statutory financial statements.
  • Generate ad-hoc financial reports upon request.
  • Support variance analysis and other financial insights for decision-making.
