To be successful as our Vice President Legal Affairs, you will need to have a strong background in insurance and reinsurance law, with at least four years of total legal experience with a recognized law firm and/or in a corporate setting. You must be a qualified / licensed solicitor in England and/or Ireland. A strong working knowledge of UK and EU laws and regulations is essential.
The role involves negotiating and assisting with regional contracts and general corporate and governance matters. You will also provide legal advice and training to the business, monitor for and advise on legal and regulatory updates, handle and assist with insurance regulatory and compliance matters, and maintain good relationships with outside counsel.
As a key member of our team, you will be expected to work effectively with the Legal & Compliance Department globally to ensure global consistency where possible. You will also be responsible for such other duties as assigned from time to time.
