Job Title

The Directorate Business Manager is responsible for the operational management and service delivery targets of the Directorate. The post holder will work on behalf of the Chief Operations Officer and Clinical Director, providing leadership to ensure efficient day-to-day running of the Directorate.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Management: ensuring the efficient and effective day-to-day running of the Directorate, matching resources with flexibility to respond to workload.
  • Service Planning: co-ordinating, reviewing and planning of services to meet service agreement requirements stipulated by the Hospital Executive.
  • Performance and Financial Management: monitoring, controlling and reporting on Directorate activity and income and expenditure, working closely with the Financial Controller and COO.
  • Strategic Planning: contributing to the development and implementation of corporate strategies and decisions, promoting a corporate approach to the hospital's overall strategy objectives, mission and values.
  • Quality Assurance and Risk Management: contributing to the development and lead on the implementation of best practice service modernisation and improvement plans and strategies within the Directorate.

The successful candidate must possess:

  • a degree-level qualification or equivalent experience.
  • demonstrated experience in a similar role, with career progression through continuing professional development.
  • experience of middle/senior management in a complex healthcare organisation, with highly developed specialist knowledge of managing multi-professional teams.
Benefits:
  • Salary: €82,258 to €99,213 per annum.
  • Location: Beaumont Hospital, Dublin 9.
  • Working Hours: 35 hours per week.
