We are seeking a skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Manager to join our team.

The successful candidate will lead and implement change, with particular reference to HIQA standards. They will display leadership, innovation, and creativity through their work with staff and residents.

Responsibilities include carrying out and supervising audits of all aspects of nursing care, receiving, supervising, and overseeing the reception of new residents, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care needed to address residents' physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs.

The ideal candidate will provide support and supervision to care and nursing staff, including orientation of new staff, training and development of care staff, organizing and coordinating their duties, guiding, supporting, motivating, monitoring, and evaluating staff performance.

They will play a central role in maintaining a safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors. Daily resident hand-over is crucial, ensuring excellent communication between all staff caring for residents is maintained. The Clinical Nurse Manager will coordinate the shift, ensuring suitable delegation of tasks for nursing and care staff is allocated.

Key Requirements:
  1. Nursing experience: Minimum 2 years in nursing home in Ireland with minimum of 5 years nursing experience (to include overseas)
  2. Management Experience: Preferably has SSN or CNM experience already but not essential as can be trained into this role
  3. Communication skills: Good clearly understandable English
  4. Speciality: an interest in a particular area of nursing with courses undertaken: eg gerontology, infection control, dementia
  5. Experience working in nursing homes essential for this role
  6. Must have a valid NMBI PIN.

This role is based in Kinsale, Co. Cork.
