AI and Digital Cultural Heritage Innovator

We are seeking a distinguished individual to join our team as an Ad Astra Fellow in AI and Digital Cultural Heritage.
This prestigious position involves leading research, teaching, and academic administration within Information and Communication Studies, collaborating with colleagues across the College of Social Sciences and Law and throughout UCD.
The ideal candidate will conduct research in AI and Digital Cultural Heritage that supports high-quality teaching and lead innovations in research and teaching. They will work to expand partnerships with sectoral stakeholders nationally and internationally and seek research funding opportunities to develop capacity and foster interdisciplinary interests across the college and university.
The successful candidate will contribute to the revised and accredited MSc in Library and Information Studies programme, enhancing digital cultural heritage offerings. They will also design a new interdisciplinary AI-focused module to be delivered across various programmes, fostering synergies within the School.
In alignment with UCD's new HEA-supported micro-credential strategy, the Fellow will support the development of micro-credentials in AI and digital GLAM studies, addressing skills development needs in the Irish cultural heritage sector.

- Developing and delivering innovative teaching modules in AI and Digital Cultural Heritage
- Collaborating with colleagues to enhance digital cultural heritage offerings
