Job Description
We are seeking a Person-Centred Support Specialist to join our team. This permanent part-time position involves working 60 hours per fortnight, providing person-centred support to individuals in our services. You will work collaboratively with our team to facilitate independent living skills, community integration, and personal development.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Upholding and respecting the human, legal, and constitutional rights of individuals supported by our service.
- Facilitating, encouraging, and developing individual decision-making skills.
- Enabling individuals to pursue and maintain their individual hobbies and interests.
- Fostering, encouraging, and developing self-help and social skills to achieve autonomy.
- Facilitating community integration through the use of generic community facilities.
Requirements
- Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities/autism.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to listen and respond to individual needs.
- Computer literacy.
- Full clean manual category B Irish driving licence.
