
BMS System Specialist

We are seeking a skilled BMS Engineer to join our team in Limerick, Ireland. As a BMS Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of building management systems, ensuring efficient operation of HVAC, lighting, and security systems.
Job OverviewThe ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Electronics, or a related discipline.
Key Responsibilities:- Work on BMS Systems (Upgrades)
- BMS Systems (Planned Preventative Maintenance)
- Design, install, and commission Building Management Systems (BMS) for HVAC, lighting, and other building services.
- Develop and program control strategies for energy-efficient building operations.
- Assist in controls & automation designs for projects.
- Prepare Functional Design Specification (FDS) and Detailed Design Specification (DDS) from the User Requirement Specification (URS).
- Develop, test and install high-quality control software.
- Integrate BMS with other building systems, ensuring seamless communication between different protocols.
- Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and debugging to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide technical support and maintenance for existing BMS installations.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to meet project specifications.
- Prepare detailed documentation, including system designs, user manuals, and maintenance procedures.
- Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Electronics, or a related discipline.
- Have Control Systems Knowledge: Understanding of HVAC systems, electrical systems, and control theory.
- Have BMS Software Proficiency: Experience with BMS software platforms like Siemens Desigo, Honeywell, Schneider Electric, or Johnson Controls.
- Building Automation Protocols: Proficiency in industry protocols.
This is a permanent, full-time position with travel nationwide required. The successful candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for building management systems.
