Senior Accountant Role Overview

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing the company's general ledger and fixed asset subledger, as well as performing various accounting tasks including financial audits, process improvements, and technical accounting research.

This role is ideal for an individual with deep expertise in fixed asset accounting and a proactive approach to broader general ledger responsibilities. The successful candidate will have experience in US GAAP, particularly around fixed assets and software capitalization, and proficiency in Excel.

Key responsibilities of the Senior Accountant include:

  • Managing global fixed asset subledger and right-of-use lease database: capitalizations, retirements, transfers, depreciation and amortization.
  • Preparing global asset roll forwards and regional reporting for Tax and SEC groups.
  • Analysing and reporting on depreciation and amortization trends.
  • Performing monthly reconciliation between subledger and general ledger.
  • Conducting technical accounting research and applying appropriate US GAAP treatments.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • Recognized accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA).
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience in a SaaS, tech or capital-intensive environment.
  • Experience in US GAAP, particularly around fixed assets and software capitalization.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated and organized, able to operate independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and clear, concise written and verbal communication.
