Clinical Laboratory Director - High Complexity
As a seasoned Medical Director, you will oversee the daily operations of our high-complexity clinical laboratory, ensuring that we meet the highest standards of quality and patient care. Your expertise will be critical in maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and providing medical guidance for testing services.
Responsibilities include interpreting test results, developing and implementing quality assurance programs, and recruiting and training laboratory personnel. If you are a leader with a passion for clinical laboratory medicine, this is an excellent opportunity to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee laboratory operations to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide medical guidance for testing services and interpret test results.
- Develop and implement quality assurance programs and initiatives.
- Lead risk management efforts and identify mitigating strategies for laboratory testing and patient safety risks.
Requirements:
- MD or DO degree with a valid and unrestricted U.S. medical license.
- Board-certified in Pathology, Clinical Pathology, or another relevant specialty.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a high-complexity clinical laboratory, with at least 2 years in a medical director role.
