Job DescriptionThis is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team as a Clinical Social Worker in a military setting. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive social work assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, and working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.
- Assess and treat adults with mental health disorders, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, anxiety, and substance use disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs and goals of each client.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as psychologists, psychiatrists, and nurses, to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.
- Provide education and training to clients and their families on mental health topics, such as coping skills, stress management, and healthy relationships.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A Master's degree in social work from a recognized post-secondary institution with a clinical emphasis or specialization.
- Registration with a provincial/territorial social work regulatory college/association in the province/territory where employment is sought.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience providing psychosocial interventions and assessments to adults with mental health disorders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- A strong understanding of mental health theories, assessment tools, and intervention strategies.
