Job Description

This position is responsible for providing support to individuals with mental health needs in a residential setting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mental health principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Providing individualised support to residents, recognising and responding to their unique needs and preferences.
  2. Assisting residents in developing life skills, such as time management, budgeting, and meal preparation.
  3. Maintaining accurate records of resident progress, using data to inform service delivery and improvement.
  4. Participating in ongoing training and professional development, enhancing skills and knowledge in areas such as mental health, disability support, and community engagement.


Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must possess a minimum QQI Level 7 qualification in Health Care and/or Social Care or relevant equivalency. They will also demonstrate knowledge of best practice in Residential Centres and proficiency in communication, IT, report writing, and planning skills.

Additionally, applicants must be able to demonstrate a deep commitment to upholding the rights and protection of each individual, working in a dynamic environment that values continued professional development.
