The role of Environmental Health Specialist at TN Ireland offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the company's Environmental, Health and Safety environment.

This specialist will provide technical support on occupational safety, ergonomic issues, and other relevant environmental, health and safety concerns.

Responsibilities
  1. Risk Assessment and Control: Conduct thorough risk assessments and implement effective control measures to ensure a safe working environment.
  2. EHS Control Procedures: Develop and maintain EHS control procedures, ensuring compliance with statutory legislation and internal policies.
  3. Training and Development: Design and deliver training programs to educate employees on EHS best practices and promote a culture of safety.
  4. Consultation and Advice: Provide expert advice to department managers on EHS matters specific to their departments.
  5. Compliance and Governance: Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements and internal policies, maintaining accurate records and generating reports as needed.
  6. Environmental Controls: Coordinate environmental controls, ensuring compliance with IPC licenses and managing waste management effectively.
  7. Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives, analyzing data and implementing corrective actions as required.
  8. External Agency Liaison: Establish and maintain relationships with external EHS agencies, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  9. Code of Conduct: Promote Cook Medical's Code of Conduct in all business activities, upholding the highest standards of integrity and ethics.
  10. Change Control Review: Act as a designee for the Facilities Manager in change control review, ensuring adherence to quality system procedures.
  11. Environmental Management Standard: Implement and maintain ISO 14001 Environmental Management Standard across the organization.
  12. Personal Protective Equipment: Coordinate procurement, supply, provision, and maintenance of personal protective equipment and personal monitoring equipment, managing associated records and results.
Qualifications and Experience
  1. Relevant Qualification: Hold a relevant third-level qualification or possess equivalent experience.
  2. Desirable Experience: Three to four years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
  3. IPC License and Environmental Management: Possess knowledge and experience of IPC license and environmental management systems.
  4. Certification and Knowledge: Familiarity with CE certification of equipment and occupational/industrial hygiene principles.
  5. Confidentiality and Discretion: Demonstrate the ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive information.
