Medical Scientist Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill this challenging role.

The selected individual will be responsible for monitoring consumables and reagent stock supplies associated with the Microbiology section. This will involve managing inventory levels, ordering replacements as necessary, and implementing strategies to optimize stock usage.

The successful candidate will participate in laboratory meetings, providing input on performance assessment, service development, and organizational changes. Effective communication within the department is essential for success in this role.

To maintain and improve analytical quality in the department, the ideal candidate will contribute to Quality Assurance and Audits. This may involve facilitating training sessions, developing new procedures, and collaborating with colleagues to identify areas for improvement.

The Medical Scientist Register maintained by the Medical Scientists Registration Board at CORU is the relevant qualification required for this position. The successful applicant must have permission to work in Ireland and possess a professional approach to work.
