Job Title: Support Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to fill this challenging position, where you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with diverse needs.

Your primary responsibility will be to provide direct care and support to service users, enabling them to reach their full potential and live meaningful lives.

You will work closely with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of services, adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.

A strong understanding of individualised care planning and a passion for promoting independence and autonomy are essential requirements for this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct care and support to service users, incorporating their individualised care plans into daily activities.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with service users, families, and other stakeholders, ensuring open communication and collaboration.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of person-centred care plans, prioritising the unique needs and goals of each service user.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household management, while promoting independence and self-advocacy.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to organisational standards and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  • Candidate must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine passion for delivering high-quality care and support.
  • Degree in Social Care or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong problem-solving and adaptability skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full driving licence (or in the process of obtaining one).
