About This Role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Coordinator to join our team in Athlone, Ireland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Modify and update project programmes with senior management to ensure key milestones are met.
  • Liaise with design teams to ensure works are completed according to programme.
  • Report to Projects Manager and Contracts Manager.
  • Team Leadership: Direct and manage personnel, site staff, and subcontractors.
  • Manage and coordinate weekly progress meetings, workshops, and plan actions.
  • Problem Solving: Overcome any issues that may arise during the construction phase in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Evaluate construction to ensure quality of work.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Construction Management or similar (third-level qualification).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience managing residential projects with a main contractor or specialist contractor in Ireland.
  • A proven record of overseeing the complete construction of a new residential development, ideally apartments.
  • Technical Skills: A thorough knowledge of computer and database applications such as Microsoft Office and Project/PowerPoint.

Skills Required

The ideal candidate will have:

  • SMSTS certification.
  • Excellent IT skills and good digital and visual presentational skills.
