Do you want to make a difference in the lives of individuals with intellectual disabilities? We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Social Support Worker to join our team.
As a Social Support Worker, you will be responsible for supporting the Person In Charge with the effective running of the residential service. This includes promoting and protecting the rights of the individuals we support, ensuring their overall wellbeing, and facilitating new interests and opportunities for the individuals we support to develop meaningful roles in their communities.
The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as experience in creative problem-solving techniques and teaching life skills. A degree in Social Care or a foreign equivalent, validated by QQI, and at least six months post-qualification experience of working with adults with an intellectual disability are also essential requirements for this role. A full clean driving license is also required.
