Hotel Operations Manager

Seeking a Hotel Operations Manager to oversee all aspects of hotel operations, with a focus on Food and Beverage management.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Oversee all departments, prioritizing Food and Beverage areas.
    • Support Heads of Department in running the hotel.
    • Install efficient work methods and systems, and identify schedules for high staff productivity.
    • Review staff rotas for adequate cover and cost-effectiveness.
    • Maintain kitchen and premises standards, meeting EHO/HSA/WRC requirements.
    • Ensure presentable premises at all times.
    • Conduct regular operations team meetings to discuss operational matters, sales targets, and staff feedback.
    • Implement SOPs in all departments and check their application during routine operational checks.
    • Monitor purchases, control POs, and communicate with GM and Hotel Manager.
    • Compile financial reports, detailing revenue, covers, and staff productivity.
    • Control stock and carry out random inspections to check quality, par stock levels, and expiry dates.
    • Deal with suppliers and vendors for quality products.
    • Inspect all departments for cleanliness, ambience, service readiness, staff grooming, and hospitality culture.
    • Work with Sales and Events Manager to prepare a sales plan for F&B outlets.
    • Plan well for future business and make sound decisions.
    • Ensure Health and Safety is always on the agenda.
    • Assess and review customer satisfaction and service recovery process.
    • Identify staff learning needs and assist with development.
    • Provide timely and constructive feedback to direct reports.
    • Monitor and maintain operation and overhead costs to maximize revenue.
