Occupational Therapist Role

At our organization, we provide a wide range of high-quality services to children and adults with intellectual disabilities and autism across the region. Our services include day support, residential programs, short breaks, community supports, rehabilitative training, and multi-disciplinary supports.

The role involves providing occupational therapy services using service user-centered principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions in line with our ethos and policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for service users based on their needs and goals.
  • Collaborate with service users, family members, carers, and other staff to provide support and advice.
  • Manage own caseload effectively and efficiently.
Essential Criteria:

Candidates must satisfy Department of Health and Code of Professional Conduct and Ethics for appointment as follows:

  • Hold a recognized degree or equivalent qualification and be eligible for membership with the relevant professional body.
  • Registration with CORU is required.
  • Post-graduate experience as an occupational therapist in Disability Services sector.
  • Possess a full current driving license with access to your own vehicle (mileage will be paid at the appropriate rate).
