Financial Performance Enhancement Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join our team on a two-year Fixed-Term Contract with the possibility of extension. As a strategic and hands-on role, you will collaborate closely with senior leadership to enhance financial performance, ensure compliance, and improve reporting systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, forecasts, and performance reports.
  • Provide insights to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Identify financial risks and opportunities, offering practical recommendations to management.
  • Lead the month-end process, including reconciliations, variance analysis, and management reporting.
  • Support preparation and submission of funding applications or reports as applicable.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
  • Maintain timely delivery of accurate financial data and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
  • Work with internal departments to identify reporting needs, provide meaningful KPIs, and create clear financial presentations.
  • Liaise with external providers overseeing payroll, tax compliance, and AP.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant procurement or purchasing guidelines.
  • Lead or support initiatives to improve financial systems, controls, and efficiency.
  • Maintain adherence to ethical and operational standards across all finance-related activities.

Requirements:

  • Recognized accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in a senior finance or accounting role.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and taking initiative.
