Industrial Materials Handler

The role is for the morning shift, commencing at 07:00, Monday to Friday. You are assured 40 hours per week with opportunities to work overtime at premium rates.
Starting times may vary based on time of year and business needs. The position involves operating a forklift in a safe and efficient manner when required.
You will be responsible for ensuring that prior to commencement of shift the areas surrounding the feeder belt and picking platform are free from foreign objects and debris.
Responsibilities- To follow specific instructions from the Site Manager and his deputy at all times.
- Work on the picking line and pick off recyclable materials as per company or site objectives and targets.
- Offer support to other operatives as and when required.
- Support the Site Foreman as and when required by him.
- Clean down your working area at the end of each shift.
- Follow all Health and Safety guidelines and instructions at all times.
- Ensure you are correctly attired with Personal Protective Equipment at all times.
- Communicate immediately any hazards which you identify to the Site Manager.
- Smoking is only permitted in the designated smoking area.
- Always remember you are legally responsible for any actions which may put yourself or your colleagues at risk.
- Previous forklift experience.
- Willingness to work in a recycling/manufacturing environment.
- Team player who can follow instructions and support colleagues and supervisors.
- Available for a morning shift starting at 07:00, Monday to Friday.
