Senior Front-End Engineering Lead

As a seasoned leader, you will be responsible for overseeing two teams: the Content Management System (CMS) team and the Reports team. The CMS team is responsible for delivering product documentation and localized content to our console product. This includes both the existing console and our next-generation console. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, primarily technical writers, as well as engage with end-user customers for research and feedback purposes.

The Reports team is focused on building and owning the high-profile reports module within our next-gen console. This module enables WYSIWYG authoring of security and analyst reports, integrating custom content and assets with dynamic widgets from our console in a custom-built web-based document-type application.

You will lead these teams, ensuring they are equipped to deliver high-quality results while fostering an open and collaborative environment. As an Engineering Manager, you will oversee workload management, wellbeing, and professional growth of the engineers on your team.

• Lead two teams: CMS and Reports, focusing on front-end systems using UI frameworks, TypeScript packages, and web components.
• Manage team workload, project resourcing & coordination in a fast-paced, highly distributed environment.
• Support the wellbeing of team members, providing guidance and support on resourcing, progress, and soft skills.
• Gather feedback, provide coaching as needed, and collaborate with senior engineers to advance team member skill sets.
• Build a team by leading and coordinating the recruitment process from initial contact to offer.
• Maintain visibility into the product roadmap and share it with other managers and team members.
• Participate in team activities, such as roadmap planning, to prioritize projects based on availability and business objectives.

• A strong engineering track-record focusing on front-end development & technologies (JS/TS/CSS/HTML) and modern frameworks and approaches.
• Experience with front-end frameworks such as React, Vue, and Ember.
• Knowledge of Accessibility (a11y) best practices, tools, and techniques, including compatibility with keyboard navigation, screen readers, and WCAG guidelines.
• Experience with internationalization (i18n).
• A good understanding of Cloud Technologies and end-to-end delivery of data-intensive SaaS products.
• Strong communication skills in verbal and written formats.
• Comfortable providing presentations and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Advocate UX consistency, accessibility, and empathy for end-users.
• Experience mentoring and supporting people and teams with empathy and professionalism.
• Experience working with Product Managers and UX Designers for requirement analysis and driving the engineering team to come up with solution approaches and designs.
• Experience planning, tracking, delivering, and managing multiple projects.
• Experience in remote-first environments and global teams.

• Experience with documentation systems, particularly docs-as-code systems.
• Experience with Markdown workflows using tools like Remarkjs.
