Responsibilities
  • Provide resident supervision and assistance with activities of daily living
  • Aid residents with communication and connections by encouraging them to wear sensory aids
  • Administer medication under the supervision of a registered health professional
  • Ensure residents have access to mobility devices and provide ongoing cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual support
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Completed a Personal Support Worker program from an approved college or private institution
  • Be detail-oriented and proficient in procedures and techniques involved in administering simple treatment
  • Exercise tact and diplomacy in working with seniors, their families, and general visitors
