Overview

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a maintenance technician. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep of our student accommodation and its communal areas, including repairs, maintenance, and minor redecoration as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Take responsibility for ensuring the community is well-maintained, well-presented, and functional at all times.
  • Ensure students are safe and secure at all times.
  • Complete both planned and reactive maintenance tasks in line with service level agreements; perform first-line maintenance and assist specialist contractors when required.
  • Maintain cleanliness of communal areas.
  • Keep bin stores tidy and rotate bins regularly.
  • Carry out periodic health and safety checks, including fire safety, risk assessments, and legionella testing.
  • Respect health and safety responsibilities as set out by applicable law, and cooperate with the employer on health and safety matters.

The primary objective is to uphold the property's look and feel to a high standard for residents. A proactive problem-solving approach and relevant trade experience are preferred; however, this is not essential.

Qualifications

While specific qualifications are not specified, a related trade qualification or experience in maintenance, security, or facilities is desirable. We welcome applications from motivated individuals who are willing to learn and take on new challenges.
