Electrical Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our electrical equipment and power distribution systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining and troubleshooting electrical equipment to prevent downtime and ensure safety.
  • Developing and implementing procedures to identify and rectify electrical problems.
  • Installing and maintaining power controls on plant equipment and machinery.
  • Ensuring plant and building lighting is properly installed and maintained.
  • Conducting wire connections to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components.
  • Repairing electrical faults in quarry plant, machinery, and lorries.
  • Conducting work area inspections and basic mechanical activities.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and organizing work tasks effectively.
Requirements:
  • FETAC Level 6 Electrical Trade Qualification.
  • Experience working in an industrial setting.
  • Proficiency in cable installation, glanding, termination, and testing.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Willingness to work safely in an active environment.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures, method statements, and risk assessments.
  • Knowledge of mechanical components of pumps and motors is desirable but not essential.
Desirable Requirements:
  • 5+ years of practical experience in the heavy industrial sector (desirable but not essential).
  • Ability to work to the highest safety standards in accordance with safety regulations.
  • Experience in cable containment systems, including cable tray, trunking, and conduit (Galvanized and Plastic).
  • Proficiency in fault finding and troubleshooting on Low Voltage systems.
  • Awareness of energy efficiency in design and maintenance.
