The St. James Hospital is committed to providing high-quality patient care, and we are seeking a skilled Registered Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team in the Virology department.
About the RoleThis specialist nursing position involves working with patients who have acute and chronic liver disease, including those with hepatitis C, hepatitis B, and hepatitis D. The successful candidate will work closely with the GUIDE Lead Consultant and associated multidisciplinary team members to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.
Key Accountabilities- Deliver high-quality specialist nursing care to patients with liver disease.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of patient-centered care plans.
- Be registered as a Registered Nurse/Midwife on the active Register of Nurses and Midwives held by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
- Have a minimum of 1 year's post-registration full-time experience in the division of the register in which the application is being made.
- Hold a post-registration qualification relevant to the specialist area of Hepatology care.
- Demonstrate strong communication and leadership skills.
