A Design Engineer is required to join our busy team. The successful candidate will have a degree in Civil/Structural Engineering and be proficient in a range of software packages including AutoCAD, MicroDrainage, and GIS software.

Key Duties:
  • Liaise with clients to deliver designs as directed by the Project Manager.
  • Review documents and designs prepared by Graduate Engineers.
  • Prepare and review preliminary designs and reports using various computer packages.
  • Procure Site Investigation, Building and Civil Engineering Contracts.
  • Assist Project Managers in preparing tender documents and tender assessments.
  • Administer construction contracts to ensure design requirements, project schedules and budgets are achieved.
Requirements:
  • Minimum Level 8 Honours Degree qualification in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • Typically between 2-6 years of experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD 2D and aptitude to develop skills in AutoCAD 3D and Building Information Modelling (such as AutoDesk REVIT).
  • Capability to develop skills in other software packages such as MicroDrainage, Microsoft Access and GIS software packages like ArcGIS and MapInfo.
  • Working knowledge of construction contracts like PWMF Forms of Contract.
  • Working knowledge of relevant software packages like Microsoft Project, MicroDrainage, and similar packages needed for daily tasks.
