Saint John of God Community Services Clg provides support to individuals with intellectual disabilities to be active participants within their community. We are seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist for a permanent full-time position in Celbridge, Co. Kildare.
About the Role:This is a 0.77 WTE position that involves working with adults with complex needs. The successful candidate must have a recognized qualification in Occupational Therapy and be fully CORU registered or have an application under process.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical supervision and support others' development
- Work within a Multi-disciplinary team providing services to adults with complex needs
- Assess and manage seating and posture difficulties and sensory processing disorder in adults
- Develop and implement rehabilitation plans for individuals with dementia
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years' post-qualification experience working as an Occupational Therapist and experience of working with adults with intellectual disability. They must also have excellent initiative, flexibility, communication, and organizational skills.
Desirable Qualifications:Membership of AOTI, training in management of Sensory processing disorder and Complex seating and Posture difficulties, and experience in the area of Dementia and family/staff training would be highly desirable.
