The company has a history of continuous improvement and innovation, being considered a world leader in the Alumina industry. This role provides an opportunity to work on a wide range of capital and expense projects that enable safety, environment, and production improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project teams to agree on design briefs and schedules for various capital and expense projects.
- Carry out asset inspections and appraisals of plant structures and infrastructure, developing reports and recommendations for asset integrity projects.
- Prepare concept designs, risk assessments, and budget estimates for new and existing structures.
- Provide technical support for structural repairs, strengthening, and/or retrofitting projects.
- Develop structural design solutions, details, and general arrangement drawings for tender and construction works.
- Liaise with project supervisors and contractors during construction to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective implementation of structural scopes.
Essential Requirements:
- Degree qualified structural engineer with technically sound knowledge and understanding of structures.
- Minimum 3 years experience working as a structural engineer.
