Job Description

The role of Financial Controller HYBRID, Dublin 12 is a dynamic position that requires a skilled professional to manage all financial aspects of the company. This includes preparing and providing relevant information for stakeholders, ensuring compliance with financial and tax regulations, and working closely with the Chief Financial Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of management accounts and journals to support the management accounts.
  • Review of management accounts with the CFO and dealing with other management reporting requirements.
  • Liaising with external statutory auditors and preparing the audit file.
  • Overseeing VAT and Payroll tax compliance obligations and payroll administration.
  • Forecasting and budgeting with all departments and stakeholders in the company.
  • Maintaining the company's financial systems and processes to support current business and future growth.
  • Managing a team of Accounts Specialists.
  • Providing all aspects of support to the CFO in developing and implementing financial strategy.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A fully qualified member of a recognised professional accountancy body with at least 5 years post qualification experience.
  • Technically strong and up to date, with superior attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle pressures of strict cost/time parameters and deadlines.
  • Committed to good corporate governance and computer literate across MS Office suite and equivalent accounting software.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Energetic, highly motivated, with an enquiring mind and passion for excellence and innovation in pursuit of business growth and success.
  • Ambitious and able to work independently as part of a team.
