Senior Cardiac Physiologist Job Description\

We are seeking a highly experienced cardiac physiologist to play a vital role in our multidisciplinary team.

\Main Responsibilities:\
  • \
  • Perform echocardiography, including transthoracic and transoesophageal echocardiography\
  • Conduct stress tests using dobutamine and exercise\
  • Collaborate with cardiologists to provide expert opinions on cardiac function\
  • Develop and implement new testing protocols to enhance patient care\
  • Lead and mentor junior staff members, providing training and guidance in echocardiography and non-invasive testing\
  • Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care\
  • Maintain accurate records of patient tests and procedures\
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in cardiac physiology and technology\
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes\
  • Other related duties as assigned by management\

Key Requirements:\
  • \
  • A valid current approval to work in Ireland (EU, UK citizen or currently working in Ireland)\
  • Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in a modern cardiac department\
  • Relevant qualifications, such as BSc in Clinical Measurement Science or Certificate in Medical Physics and Physiological Measurement\
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills\
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment\
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills\
  • Capacity to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines\
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and education\
