We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Manager II to lead our Robotic Service team at UPMC Whitfield Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, managing a caseload of colorectal and urology patients, and working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide seamless service delivery.
About the Role
As a Clinical Nurse Manager II, you will be responsible for providing expert nursing care to patients undergoing robotic procedures, developing and implementing plans of care in conjunction with the MDT, and ensuring that all patient needs are met. You will also be responsible for coordinating investigations, treatment therapies, and patient follow-up, as well as communicating effectively with patients, families, and carers to assess their needs and provide relevant support.
Responsibilities
* Provide specialist nursing service for patients undergoing robotic procedures
* Develop and implement plans of care in conjunction with the MDT
* Coordinate investigations, treatment therapies, and patient follow-up
* Communicate effectively with patients, families, and carers
* Participate in medication reconciliation and support medical and pharmacy staff with medication reviews and management
* Identify and promote specific symptom management strategies and triggers
* Manage nurse-led clinics with MDT input
Requirements
* Registered nurse/midwife on the active Register of Nurses or Midwives held by An Bord Altranais agus Cnimhseachais na hireann (NMBI)
* Minimum of 3 years' post-registration full-time experience in nursing management
* Experience in specialist area of Theatre Robotics
* Ability to practice safely and effectively fulfilling professional responsibility within scope of practice
