Lead Pharmacist for Palliative Medicine

Leading the Palliative Medicines Information Service is a key role that involves managing the service, including developing and maintaining quality standards and key performance indicators. This includes working on a new national online symptom management resource for palliative care, in line with the Adult Palliative Care Policy.
Key Responsibilities- Developing and maintaining quality standards for the Palliative Medicines Information Service.
- Managing the development of a new national online symptom management resource for palliative care.
The Chief II Pharmacist will also be responsible for providing pharmacy services, including dispensing and clinical pharmacy services, with an emphasis on clinical practice in palliative care. This includes working closely with the Chief Pharmacist on service development and quality improvements as required.
Requirements- Post-graduate qualification in hospital or clinical pharmacy or equivalent.
- At least 5 years satisfactory post-registration hospital experience or other applicable experience.
Additional desirable requirements include post-graduate education courses or research in palliative care or medicines information, as well as management experience and people management skills.
