Job Title: Care and Support Professional

The role of a Care and Support Professional is pivotal in enhancing the overall well-being of residents under their care. This position involves effective collaboration with staff members, residents, and family members to achieve optimal results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized support to residents in daily activities while maintaining their dignity, privacy, respect, and safety.
  • Perform duties as a Key Worker, as directed by organizational protocols.
  • Accompany residents to external clinics, hospitals, or centers for specialized treatment or care, providing preliminary verbal reports upon return.
  • Implement care plans for each resident and maintain confidentiality.
  • Attend mandatory and non-mandatory training sessions provided by the organization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a healthcare-related field.
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Care and Support Professional or in a similar setting.
  • Familiarity with relevant legislation and standards.
  • Possess professional integrity and adhere to organizational policies and procedures.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Manual handling skills.
  • Effective communication with residents having reactive responsive behaviors and cognitive impairment.
  • Behavior management of residents with reactive responsive behaviors.
  • Team player with flexibility to work varied shifts and units.

Additional duties may be assigned by management.
