We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Blanchardstown, Dublin 15. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for preparing and dispensing prescriptions in a professional manner. This includes controlling prescriptions and paperwork, as well as preparing Monitored Dosage Systems and monthly claims for submission to the HSE PCRS.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and dispense prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
  • Manage prescription control and paperwork with high attention to detail.
  • Prepare Monitored Dosage Systems and submit monthly claims to the HSE PCRS.
  • Advise and assist customers with over-the-counter products.
  • Provide excellent customer service and engage actively with customers.
  • Manage dispensary stock effectively, including expiry date checking and ordering.
  • Participate in proactive personal development and other projects as required.
  • Collaborate with the Pharmacy Manager to ensure accurate ordering and acceptance of stock, maintaining a high standard in the stockroom.
  • Ensure that inter-branch transfers are carried out according to procedure.
  • Implement planograms according to guidelines.
Requirements
  • Necessary Qualifications:
  • A qualification such as IPU Pharmacy Technician course or Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies is essential.
  • Excellent Communication Skills:
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently with excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing.
Preferred Criteria
  • Desirable Experience:
  • Experience working in a high-volume dispensing and customer service environment.
  • Knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Experience working with Touchstore and Arc Claim Management Function.
  • Understanding of community drugs schemes and the HSE PCRS claims process.
