We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate individual to join our team of dedicated professionals providing vital services and support for people with disabilities and their families.

About the Role:

This permanent contract, 19.5 hours per week, offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with Autism and Mental Health Difficulties.

Job Purpose:

To provide personalized care and support to children aged 8-18 years old within a high-support Respite service setting, promoting a positive behavioral approach and fostering community-based respite, personal development, and social inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote teamwork and create a nurturing environment for service users
  • Implement person-centered services tailored to individual needs, wishes, and requirements
  • Provide personal assistance with all aspects of personal care and manual handling, ensuring comfort, hygiene, and safety
  • Approach interactions with dignity, respect, and equality, incorporating choice and promoting autonomy

Requirements:

  • A third-level graduate in Health & Social Care or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 12 months experience in a similar role
  • Skills and knowledge in Autism, Intellectual Disability, Mental Health, and Epilepsy
  • Able to work effectively in a team and maintain confidentiality at all times
