Job Title:

We are seeking a highly skilled Security Specialist to join our organization.

The successful candidate will have a strong passion for security systems and be interested in building a career in this field.

The Security Specialist will be part of a team responsible for administering security projects designed to safeguard information systems. The specialist will focus on defining and documenting projects, creating and executing project plans, engaging in cost management and resource allocation, and performing periodic reporting.

The ideal candidate will have experience in process documentation and project management, as well as functional knowledge of operating systems such as Unix, Linux, and Windows. They will also have experience with databases, certificate management, and privileged access management.

The Security Specialist will act as a subject matter expert who uses their expertise to resolve complex problems in consideration of established policies, guidelines, or processes. They will also have the ability to raise awareness and issues to leadership and engage leaders and stakeholders in understanding their roles in delivering enterprise change, configuration, and release management processes.

  • Occasional scheduled Saturday work required.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and document security projects
  • Create and execute project plans
  • Engage in cost management and resource allocation
  • Perform periodic reporting
  • Act as a subject matter expert in resolving complex problems
  • Raise awareness and issues to leadership
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years experience supporting IT security tools and applications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Process documentation, flow charting, and re-engineering experience
  • Encryption technologies and PKI infrastructure
  • Knowledge of information security regulatory requirements, codes, and industry guidance
  • Familiarity with security monitoring concepts
