Job Overview

As a key member of the newsroom team, you will be responsible for outputting live studio programming, booking guests, generating ideas for content, and developing relationships with presenters, guests, agencies, and political parties.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Generate ideas for topics and guests
  2. Book contributors for panel discussions and one-on-one interviews
  3. Work within a team of producers and researchers in the preparation and management of high-quality journalistic programming
  4. Maintain a commanding knowledge of both traditional and new television production
  5. Monitor ratings and audience feedback and adapt to trends
  6. Sourcing and posting digital news content from TV programmes to online platforms

Requirements
  1. Extensive experience working in current affairs in television/radio
  2. Thorough knowledge of the Irish political landscape and command of national and international social, cultural, business, and economic affairs
