Job Overview

This role is a vital part of our 2026 Cooperative cohort, based in Cork.

Responsibilities
  • Identify a Supply Planning project with objectives, scope, success factors, milestones, and evaluation.
  • Support cross-functional teams to develop sourcing strategies for assigned suppliers and/or commodities.
  • Implement supplier strategy, including spend/supply assessments, consolidation, sourcing selection, financial analysis, and make vs. buy analysis.
  • Represent the 'voice of the supplier' in the organization.
  • Collaborate on contract strategy for suppliers and create, negotiate, monitor, and enforce contracts when applicable.
  • Develop strong relationships with key suppliers and other disciplines within the business.
  • Participate in new product launches, lead supplier selection, requests for quotes, and ensure suppliers understand product launch deliverables.
  • Assure cost standards are established for annual operating budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality, Safety, and Systems.
Requirements
  • Enrolled in an Irish or Northern Irish university course in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, BIS, or related courses.
  • Honesty and integrity; must comply with quality systems, regulations, and company policies.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and hardworking; enjoys working in a dynamic environment.
  • Reliable, dependable, and punctual.
  • Organized, focused, and capable of multi-tasking.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills with basic computer skills.
  • A team player, capable of working as part of a team.
  • Available for 6, 9, or 12 months – exact duration and start date to be discussed.
