Senior Operations Engineer - Manufacturing Process Optimization

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Operations Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing processes for a novel medical device. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of basic engineering principles and hands-on experience in operations engineering within the medical device industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement efficient manufacturing processes for the pivotal device
  • Provide technical support to the production line ensuring seamless operation and high-quality output
  • Proactively monitor line efficiency, performance, and output, identifying areas for improvement
  • Develop and enforce quality standards and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Pursue opportunities for enhanced productivity and efficiency through process enhancements and automation
  • Create new manufacturing processes and fixtures to facilitate the introduction of new product lines
  • Perform process validation activities as required, ensuring adherence to quality standards
  • Participate in risk assessments and mitigation strategies related to manufacturing processes
  • Leverage continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production yield, cycle time, and resource utilization
  • Collaborate with R&D, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory Affairs teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in operations engineering within the medical device industry
  • Strong knowledge of basic engineering principles and applicable regulations
