As a leading business in the engineering, sustainability, and energy management sectors, we require an individual to enhance our team's technical capabilities. This role is ideal for a professional with expertise in building certifications.

The selected candidate will join the sustainability team and contribute to several large commercial building projects aimed at reducing energy consumption and improving sustainability.

Candidate Profile

Applicants should be comfortable interacting at senior levels within a business and possess experience in fast-paced service, construction, engineering, or sustainability environments.

Key Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2+ years' experience as a sustainability/energy consultant or related role is required.
  • Relevant qualifications include a degree in construction, environmental, engineering, or a related field, with proven performance in sustainability.
  • Proficiency with IES:VE software for energy modelling and analysis is essential.
  • Experience and knowledge of Irish Building Regulations Part L are also necessary.
Skills and Attributes:
  • Relevant experience in a modeller or consultancy role within the built environment industry is advantageous.
  • Educational background in engineering is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills are crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaising with client stakeholders to develop environmental assessment criteria.
  • Coordinating with building owners, design, construction, and operational teams to achieve targets.
  • Managing workload to meet project deadlines.
  • Producing reports, providing advice, and guiding clients and teams.
  • Attending site visits to review progress on sustainability targets.
  • Organising and participating in meetings, taking minutes, and following up on actions.
  • Completing training to become a certified assessor in relevant methodologies.
  • Understanding operational, embodied, and net-zero carbon strategies.
  • Contributing to service improvements through upskilling and market research.
