Job Overview As a leading biostatistics expert, you will provide strategic direction and guidance on project assignments, fostering strong relationships with clients and internal teams. Your advanced statistical expertise will drive project work forward, ensuring scientific integrity in the application of statistical methodology to clinical trials.

This role is pivotal in assisting senior leaders in strategic planning and resource allocation for the department. You will participate as a senior statistician on major projects, providing expert input and oversight.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality outputs by overseeing complex tasks with attention to accuracy.
  • Lead as a biostatistical consultant for the department and related teams, staying current with developments in biostatistics and trial methodology.
  • Manage operational aspects of the business segment, reviewing processes and initiating methodology development for statistical standards and validation.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers, building and maintaining client relationships.
  • Share knowledge and expertise through training and mentoring senior staff, contributing to training materials and rollout at multiple levels.
  • Risk management involves identifying and mitigating risks to project delivery and quality, managing study-level escalations as needed.
  • Oversee database lock/unblinding processes, guiding junior staff and providing expert input on deliverables and data management.
  • Contribute to financial success by sharing accountability for budgeting and pricing considerations.
  • Participate in sales meetings and contribute to proposal and budget development at study/submission level.

Qualifications To excel in this role, you will require:

  • A bachelor's degree in biostatistics or a related field, accompanied by 7-10 years of relevant experience, or a master's degree in biostatistics or a related field with equivalent experience, or a Ph.D. in biostatistics or a related field with 5 years of relevant experience, including 2 years of managing staff.
  • Deep knowledge of one or more related job areas with specialization within the discipline.
  • Familiarity with complex statistical methods for Phase I-IV clinical trials.
  • In-depth knowledge of GCP and ICH guidelines.
  • A strong working knowledge of SAS.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, along with interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving and presentation skills.
  • Solid judgment/decision making ability, leadership skills, and the capacity to build effective working relationships.
  • Working knowledge of CDISC/ADaM data standards.
