The Harcourt Hotel is seeking a dedicated team member to fill the role of Laundry Assistant.

This position offers competitive rates and immediate starts are available.

Successful applicants will work on a 40 hour week with shifts from Monday to Saturday, including Sundays. The ideal candidate will be able to adapt to a variety of duties and demonstrate excellent time-keeping skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To manage high volume linen and towels across three properties in a purpose-built laundry setting.
  • Operate equipment and work effectively as part of a six-person team.
  • Manual handling and operation of electrical and gas-powered equipment, including rollers, washers, dryers, irons, and presses.
  • Full training will be provided in the use of all appliances, and rotation of duties will occur regularly.
  • Folding, packaging, and stacking laundered linen and towels for distribution across hotel operations.
  • Carry out duties as required within the laundry setting.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Previous experience as a Laundry/Accommodation Assistant/Linen Porter in a similar setting is essential.
  • A professional and friendly approach is mandatory.
  • The ideal candidate will be a team player with the ability to multitask and rotate duties effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail and physical ability to carry out duties are required.
  • Good time-keeping skills are necessary.
  • A good level of spoken English is required.
