Key ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Medical Scientist to work in our laboratory team in Cork. The successful candidate will be a recent graduate with a degree in Medical Science or a related field.
The ideal candidate will be a multi-disciplinary professional with a passion for advancing healthcare through research and innovation.
Responsibilities include performing routine laboratory scientific work to the highest possible standard, participating in the introduction of new ideas and methods, and adhering to laboratory Standard Operating Procedures on document control and retention of records.
The role also involves evaluating equipment, reagents and consumables, and assisting in ensuring compliance with ISO15189, International & National guidelines and standards for the provision of service.
RequirementsBachelor's Degree: In Medical Science or a related field.
CORU Registration: Or eligibility based on University Degree.
Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong attention to detail and analytical skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, experience with multi-disciplinary laboratory work, knowledge of laboratory safety and quality control procedures.
Working Hours: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
