
Maritime Towing Specialist

A seasoned maritime professional with extensive experience in inland and/or ocean towing is required for a challenging opportunity.
This role involves conducting thorough investigations, detailed analysis, comprehensive reporting, and expert testimony in legal cases related to towing incidents on inland rivers and/or oceans.
The ideal candidate will possess significant expertise in inland (rivers) and/or ocean towing, exceptional technical and analytical skills, strong written and verbal communication abilities, and the capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
About the Position- Investigate towing-related incidents
- Analyze tug, tow, and barge handling procedures
- Prepare authoritative expert reports
- Testify in depositions and court proceedings
- Collaborate with attorneys and other technical experts
- Bachelor's degree not specified
- At least 15 years of experience operating towing vessels (inland and/or ocean)
- Valid USCG license (Master or Mate) with towing endorsement or similar professional background
- Thorough understanding of navigation, towing safety, and Coast Guard regulations and industry practices
- Ability to travel approximately 20%
