A successful Technical Project Manager is required to oversee technology projects throughout their lifecycle, from defining objectives and scope to identifying risks and creating project plans.
The ideal candidate will lead cross-functional teams, manage resources and budgets, and ensure delivery within agreed scope, schedule, and budget.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the planning, execution, and implementation of projects through all phases and timelines.
- Defining project missions, goals, tasks, funding, and resource requirements.
- Delivering projects in accordance with established project management methodologies.
- Managing project budgets, resource allocation, and utilization.
- Engaging and managing stakeholders to gather requirements, facilitate communication, and implement necessary changes.
Additionally, the Technical Project Manager will be responsible for:
- Monitoring project progress and providing regular updates to management.
- Managing vendor relationships, including contract negotiations and issue resolution.
- Participating in requirements gathering, design, and testing phases.
- Resolving or assisting in resolving conflicts within and between projects or functional areas.
- Ensuring project closure activities are completed.
Required skills and qualifications include:
- Formal project management expertise and knowledge of project management methodology.
- Proficiency with Jira and Confluence.
- Broad working knowledge of Agile frameworks.
- Experience managing complex IT processes and projects across multiple business and technical domains.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end IT processes.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and collaborate with business, IT, and vendor partners.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of IPPM policies, standards, and governance/reporting requirements, as well as experience preparing management update presentations and escalation reports.
They will also have the ability to work autonomously and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills for diverse audiences.
Additional requirements include:
- 5-7 years' specialized experience in financial services.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems preferred.
- Business fluency in English.
- PMI certification or equivalent advantageous; Certified Scrum Master desired.
This role requires a self-starter who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment and possess strong facilitation skills and ability to lead group sessions.
It is essential to note that this position involves hands-on experience with ServiceNow and proficiency in MS Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
Ultimately, the successful candidate will contribute to PMO and IT Governance initiatives, mentor junior project managers, conduct process quality reviews, and support the development of comprehensive project plans.
