The primary objective of this role is to prepare high-quality hot and cold deli products, while prioritizing customer satisfaction.
">Main Duties:
- Product Preparation: Prepare customer orders across all fresh food areas, including making sandwiches and rolls, serving hot food, and slicing meats using portion control measures.
- Cooking and Display: Cook, prepare, and display foods sold throughout the day to meet customer expectations.
- Counter Maintenance: Ensure that counter displays across all fresh food departments are presented at the highest standards at all times.
- Customer Engagement: Demonstrate passion for quality food by sharing knowledge, recipes, and personal recommendations with customers.
- Customer Service: Deal with customer queries efficiently, professionally, and in line with store policy.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- HACCP training is desirable but not necessary
- Excellent communication skills
- Previous customer service experience is an advantage
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, ability to multitask under pressure
- Passion for food and ability to inspire shoppers
