Job Title: Health Care Assistant

">Job Description

The role of the Healthcare Assistant is a crucial part of the healthcare team, working closely with nurses and other professionals to deliver high-quality patient care. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with patient care under the supervision and direction of nursing staff.

  • Assist patients between UHW and the Hillman Cancer Centre for Radiotherapy
  • Perform duties according to hospital procedure, policy, and guidelines
  • Record blood pressure, take pulse, temperature, and urinalysis under delegation of the Nurse in charge
  • Provide a safe environment by following all safety guidelines and taking appropriate action when required
  • Participate in maintaining a physical environment that communicates peace, comfort, and caring to patients and their families
">Required Skills and Qualifications

Candidates must have at least the relevant health skills QQI (formerly FETAC) level 5 qualification or an equivalent relevant healthcare qualification.

Additionally, candidates must have the personal competence and capacity to properly discharge the duties of the role.
