Data Privacy Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Data Privacy Specialist to join our organization. This pivotal role will lead innovative, data-driven strategies while ensuring compliance with European data protection laws.

About You
  • Strong expertise in GDPR and its application within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to translate complex legal concepts into actionable business counsel.
  • A high level of business acumen and ability to effectively influence and drive change.
Responsibilities
  1. Advising on a wide range of data privacy and related issues across clinical research, commercial marketing, patient support, cybersecurity, and AI.
  2. Collaborating with internal stakeholders to assess and mitigate privacy risks in new initiatives and projects.
  3. Maintaining current and emerging data privacy regulations and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  4. Supporting the implementation of privacy laws across Europe, including operationalizing GDPR requirements.
  5. Educating teams on data protection obligations under GDPR and other applicable laws.
Requirements
  • Admitted to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction with a minimum of 7-10 years of legal experience, including a minimum of 4 years in privacy-related roles.
  • A background in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or related life sciences.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory, additional languages and experience in US or multinational companies are preferred.
